Description

Reznor UDX 200,000 BTU Propane Unit Heater - NUDX200,N1036540R

Reznor model UDX gas-fired unit heaters are great for space heating applications. These units are power vented to eliminate heat losses up the flue pipe. Each heater features a two-tone black and white powder coated, scratch-resistant paint scheme and has clean rounded corners and edges with no visible screws or fasteners. For air circulation, the UDX series utilize an axial propellor fan.

What our Experts Think
  • Balanced mid‑capacity power
With 200,000 BTU input, this heater delivers strong performance for medium‑to‑large commercial and industrial areas like warehouses, workshops, and service bays—without over‑sizing for typical space heating needs.
  • Efficient propane operation
Built for propane fuel, it achieves around 83 % AFUE, giving good fuel efficiency and heat output in off‑grid or rural setups where natural gas isn’t available.
  • Durable, long‑lasting design
The TCORE2 titanium‑stabilized aluminized steel heat exchanger resists corrosion and wear, ensuring reliable service life in demanding environments.
  • Smart diagnostics & service‑friendly features
Integrated LED status indicators and a 7‑segment fault display make troubleshooting fast, lowering maintenance time and costs.
  • Quiet, efficient airflow
An axial propeller fan with vibration‑isolated motor helps maintain low operating noise and strong circulation for even heat distribution

Q&A

Q1: What space size is the Reznor UDX200 suited for?
A: With 200,000 BTU input and approx. 166,000 BTU output, this propane unit heater is great for large garages, workshops, warehouses, and commercial/industrial buildings needing strong, consistent heating.

Q2: What fuel does this model use?
A: The UDX200 runs on liquid propane (LP) with a factory‑approved propane configuration (SKU N1036540R).

Q3: How efficient is the UDX200 heater?
A: It offers up to ~83 % AFUE efficiency, maximizing heat delivery while reducing energy waste.

Q4: What are its key durability and build features?
A: Features include a TCORE2 titanium‑stabilized aluminized steel heat exchanger, direct spark ignition with time lockout, and low‑noise, vibration‑isolated fan and venter motors for long life and quieter operation.

Q5: How’s the airflow and heat distribution?
A: Designed with an axial propeller fan and ~2,562 CFM airflow, it delivers strong heat circulation throughout large spaces.

Q6: Is installation and troubleshooting easy?
A: Yes — it includes external status LEDs and a 7‑segment diagnostic display for quick service checks and maintenance.

Q7: What are the electrical and mounting specs?
A: Runs on 115 V single‑phase power, and supports 2‑ or 4‑point ceiling suspension mounting (common for unit heaters).

Maintenance Tips
  • Clean fan & airflow components: Dust the axial propeller fan, louvers, and intake areas regularly to maintain strong airflow (~2000 CFM) and consistent heat distribution.
  • Inspect heat exchanger annually: Check the TCOREO aluminized steel exchanger for cracks or corrosion to ensure safe combustion and long-term durability.
  • Check ignition & propane system: Test the direct spark ignition and verify propane pressure and connections to prevent misfires or uneven heating.
  • Keep venting system clear: Ensure the power vent and flue outlet are free of obstructions to avoid heat loss and exhaust hazards
  • Monitor electrical components: Inspect wiring, control board, and LED diagnostics; tighten any loose connections to maintain reliable operation.
  • Inspect fan & motor performance: Check vibration-isolated motors for smooth, low-noise operation (~52 dB) and prevent wear.
  • Verify propane conversion kit (N1036540R): Ensure proper installation and calibration for safe propane operation.
